Guitarlessons

Teaching guitar is a huge passion for me. I always feel very honoured when people come to me with their guitar, and the desire to do something with it. I see it as my job to discover what it is exactly what clients want to accomplish with the guitar. For some people, it is about learning to accompany themselves while singing, while for others, it's more about being able to play an awesome bluessolo. Some clients have begun teaching themselves guitar and came a long way, but at some point they noticed they have some questions or are feeling stuck. Some of my students want to learn to gently stroke the guitar with their right-hand fingers (fingerstyle). Others want to learn all basic chords to become an accomplished 'campfire guitarist', who knows how to accompany all famous songs effortlessly.
Some of my students want to learn to play Jazz, others like Blues, Pop, or Rock. Due to my years of experience as a performing guitarists with many different groups, and my vast amount of experience as a teacher, I am able to service them all.

Absolute beginners are also more than welcome with me. All ages are welcome. I teach people aged 68 who have been playing for decades, but I also teach adults who are just starting out, as well as kids who are starting out. All ages and all levels are welcome with me. For every student, I will develop a tailor-made lesson program, where we will look at your musical preferences, possibilities, strengths, and focus points.
We will play songs that you like, and do technique-exersices that will help you become a better player.

Making music together is an important element in my lessons. I always try, as quickly as possible, to play music together with my student. Music is a language, and a language is learnt through studying, learning grammar and vocabulary, but eventually most of all by speaking the language. It's the same with music. Music is something you do, it's a practice. And most importantly; making music together is the most fun thing there is!
